ORT's talent shines at international conference: teachers and students participate

The 8th Argentine Conference on Computer Science (CACIC 2002) will take place from October 15 to 18 at the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires.

Faculty members and students from the School of Engineering at Universidad ORT Uruguay will present two papers at the conference.

Regina Motz, PhD, Professor of Databases and Information Systems, along with Daniel Pandolfi and Patricia Yañez, students in the Doctorate in Computer Engineering program (a joint program between Universidad ORT Uruguay the Polytechnic University of Madrid), will present the paper "University Extension Information Services."

Javier Pastorino, a Systems Engineering student and teaching assistant in the Database Department alongside Regina Motz, will present the paper "Transformations between temporal evolution models."

Additionally, the paper "Generic Design of a Genetic Algorithm in Object-Oriented Languages" by Systems Engineering students Natalia Castiglioni and Eli Barnett was accepted for presentation as a paper during the conference.
