Gnuteca, a library management system developed by the Universidade do Vale do Taquari in Brazil, was presented at the seminar.
The purpose of the presentation was to promote the Spanish-language adaptation of the system and its adoption by Uruguayan educational institutions.
The event consisted of an opening presentation, followed by separate workshops for librarians and IT specialists, which were held at the Central University IT Service (SECIU).
