The event, which promotes cross-sectoral dialogue on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), brought together representatives from public, private, and academic institutions committed to environmental awareness and responsible development.

During his remarks, Cometto emphasized the need to integrate sustainability into organizations' strategies:

“Corporate profitability is not so much a goal as it is the result of how things are done in terms of the environment, society, and governance,” he said.

Tiscornia, for her part, warned about the growing problem of plastic pollution and its impact on marine ecosystems:

“We have a major problem: plastic pollution. It is estimated that by 2050 there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean.”

The university's participation reaffirms its commitment to training professionals capable of driving sustainable development, while promoting an academic vision that combines innovation, social responsibility, and environmental awareness.
