During his remarks, Cometto emphasized the need to integrate sustainability into organizations' strategies:
“Corporate profitability is not so much a goal as it is the result of how things are done in terms of the environment, society, and governance,” he said.
Tiscornia, for her part, warned about the growing problem of plastic pollution and its impact on marine ecosystems:
“We have a major problem: plastic pollution. It is estimated that by 2050 there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean.”
