The agreement was signed by Prof. Charlotte de Grünberg, president of Universidad ORT Uruguay, and Prof. Yom Tov Assis, academic chairman of the International Center for University Education in Jewish Civilization at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
The agreement establishes academic cooperation in various areas:
- The curriculum design for a program leading to a certificate in Judaism;
- The organization of short courses, seminars, educational workshops, and conferences, featuring visiting professors from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem;
- Development of curricula for certain disciplines within the field of Judaism, using advanced educational technology;
- Training for teachers and graduate students in various fields of Jewish studies, through courses offered in Montevideo and Jerusalem.
