October 26, 2016
The video game *Public Space*, created by José Pedro Gioscia, a graduate of the Bachelor’s program in Animation and Video Games, was selected in October 2016 as one of the 12 finalists in a contest organized by the organization Comprometidos.

The video game was developed as part of a final-year project, under the supervision of Dr. Gonzalo Frasca, professor of Video Games in the School of Communication and Design.

The winning entry will be selected on November 12, 2016.

Bruno Arce, a student in the Bachelor’s program in Animation and Video Games, and Manuel Atienza, a graduate with degrees in Information Technology Analysis and Software Engineering, participated in the project.

Public Space is a social impact game for PC and mobile devices where players experience firsthand the reality of street harassment against women. In 2015, it won first prize in the National Video Game Competition in the Education and Social Inclusion category.
