Visit by Joan Antoni Melé

On March 31, 2022, he visited the Joan Antoni Melé School of Communication (Spain) of the Latin American Ethical Bank as part of his tour of South America.

On this occasion, she delivered a talk titled “Cultural Renewal in Times of Uncertainty: What Role Do Today’s Youth Play?”, which was attended by students from the courses Ethics and Media Relations (taught by Prof. Adriana Fernández De León, Bachelor’s Degree in Communication), Sustainable Development and CSR (taught by Prof. Soledad Lienau, Analyst in Cultural Communication and Social Development), and Communication for Development (taught by Prof. Evelyn Einhorn, Bachelor’s Degree in Business Communication).

Joan Antoni Melé is president of the Dinero y Conciencia Foundation, a speaker, consultant, and values educator. He leads the development of Ethical Banking in Latin America and serves on the Advisory Board of Triodos Bank in Spain. With 44 years of professional experience in the banking sector, he has served as deputy general manager of Triodos Bank in Spain, a member of its Executive Committee, and vice president of the Triodos Foundation. In 2015, he resigned from his position to promote Ethical Banking in Latin America and devote himself fully to raising awareness about conscious economics, sustainable businesses, and values education.
