ArchDaily, the digital platform for architecture, design, and landscape architecture, announced the nominees for its annual award: Building of the Year 2020.
In this edition, two projects built in Uruguay were highlighted by the platform. First, the Los Pilares School, designed by Dovat Arquitectos. This is an architectural firm led by Carolina Dovat, a graduate of the School of Architecture.

The second Uruguayan project nominated by ArchDaily was the Rep II house, designed by the VivoTrípodi studio and located in Canelones. The firm is composed of architects Bernardo Vivo and Gusmán Trípodi, both graduates of Universidad ORT Uruguay. Architects Soledad Casarotti, Valentina Zecchi, and Sebastián Mengot also participated in this project—the latter two are also graduates of ORT’s School of Architecture.
