“A global platform from Uruguay to the world and from the world to the business community of Uruguay and the region”—this is Universidad ORT Uruguay . Gaston J. Labadie, dean of the School of Business Administration and Social Sciences at Universidad ORT Uruguay , described the School of Graduate Business Studies (EPN) during the welcome ceremony for graduate students held on Monday, April 19, 2021.
At the event, which was held online, new students were welcomed to the following programs:
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Master's Degree in Accounting and Finance
- Master's Degree in Financial Management and Certificate of Specialization in Finance
- Master's Degree in Human Resources Management and Certificate of Specialization in Human Resources
- Certificate of Specialization in Business Analytics
- Certificate of Specialization in Marketing Management.
The speakers were Dr. Gaston J. Labadie, Fabiana Bracco—director of Bodega Bracco Bosca, a graduate of the Specialization Diploma in Marketing, and a representative of the EPN Alumni Advisory Board—and Yamandú Bermúdez, MBA—a professor of Negotiation and Leadership at EPN and director of Performance Plus Group.
National and international platform
“The ORT Graduate School of Business has been an innovator and pioneer in Uruguay in all areas of education,” Labadie noted.
“The School has established itself as a platform that connects its teaching and research, on a national level, with major professional service firms in Uruguay, as well as with various opportunities abroad.”
"We now have international partnership agreements that combine online and in-person learning. Students can take elective courses at Florida International University, the University of Illinois, and Deakin University; or earn a dual degree from Florida International University or the Shanghai University MBA Center," explained Labadie.
“We want to develop leaders who make a positive impact—people who, through their education, have internalized values such as responsibility, teamwork, and adaptability to change—so that they can lead future transformations in the world of work and within organizations, thereby making a positive impact on the business community, society, and their own lives,” he added.
