On Thursday, April 14, 2016, the Graduate School of the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences welcomed the new class of students to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.
This generation is characterized by the professional and occupational diversity of its members, which will foster peer learning through student contributions in the classroom.
The dean of the school, Dr. Gaston J. Labadie, began his welcome remarks by highlighting the importance of the MBA as a process of learning and professional growth.
Later, Miguel Rossi, Juan Pablo Saibene, and Eduardo Lewy, members of the class of 2015, shared their experiences in the graduate program.
They emphasized the importance of making the most of these interactions to build team cohesion and foster lasting professional and personal connections. They also highlighted the importance of enjoying the experience while managing one’s energy levels during the course of intense academic activities.
Next, the MBA academic coordinator, Dr. Luis Silva Domingo, presented the various teaching methods used in the program and encouraged the new students to take an active role by developing critical thinking skills that will enable them to make the most of the learning process.
Finally, Professor Yamandú Bermúdez launched the Communication and Negotiation Workshop, which would take place on April 17, 18, and 19 at the Nirvana Hotel in Colonia, alongside Professor José Gordin. He emphasized the learning outcomes to which the School has been committed since the design and development of the MBA program.
The welcome event concluded with a toast that served as an opportunity for networking among the Class of 2016, the Class of 2015, as well as faculty members and staff from the MBA academic and course coordination teams.
