Escuela Horizonte expressed its special gratitude, through the administration of Universidad ORT Uruguay, to Pedro Corso, a student in the Bachelor of Graphic Design program, for his great dedication to redesigning the institution’s brand identity.

In the words of the chairman of the board of directors, Gen. (Ret.) Ramón Bonilla, “the sensitivity, dedication, and professionalism with which Pedro took on the job laid the foundation for the School to have this unique opportunity to revitalize its image and make an impact on society.”

Bonilla also stated that institutions such as Universidad ORT Uruguay, which strive to ensure that the work done in their classrooms has an impact on civil society organizations, deserve recognition for their commitment.

For his part, the president highlighted the role of the academic coordinator of ORT’s Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Art, and Technology, Fabián Barros, M.A., who proposed that students in the Digital Art Project course work with the children at Escuela Horizonte as part of the Recreation 20 Project.

The school serves children and adolescents with severe cerebral palsy. It is a nonprofit organization supported by various government agencies.

The student's own perspective

Pedro, the creator of the rebranding project, explained that the main issue they had to address was that Escuela Horizonte lacked a clear identity. There were no elements that helped people easily recognize the school. In response to this situation, he proposed creating a new identity featuring bold colors that people could quickly associate with the school.

To that end, and in constant consultation with the institution’s members, it was decided to focus on preserving all the positive aspects of life there, such as values, love, joy, understanding, and the sense of family and belonging among its members.
