On April 26, 2021, the winners of the design competition for the new Kehilá headquarters were announced. The jury, composed of architects Gastón Boero, dean of the School of Architecture at Universidad ORT Uruguay Marcelo Danza, dean of the School of Architecture at the University of the Republic, awarded two honorable mentions, one special mention, and a first prize.
The two honorable mentions went to: Leonel Coitinho and Federico Waiter’s team, creators of the Vivencias project, and to Lucía Fescina for the Crecimiento project. Both teams are made up of students and graduates from the School of Architecture at Universidad ORT Uruguay.
Denise Katz, an architecture graduate from Universidad ORT Uruguay in Universidad ORT Uruguay, received an honorable mention for her project "Renovación."
The team consisting of Carlos Breitfeld Raidovzky, Alan Breitfeld Grimberg, Francisco Trujillo, Valentina Queirolo, and Ignacio Sayagués won first prize with their project titled “Pertenencia” and will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of the new headquarters for the Kehilá.
