World Environment Day: Trees Planted by ORT Graduates in Israeli Forests

By 2021, more than 5,000 trees had been planted.

Universidad ORT Uruguay each graduating student with a diploma stating that a tree will be planted in Israeli forests to promote environmental stewardship.

Tree planting is a very meaningful endeavor, both for the Eastern Republic of Uruguay and for the State of Israel.

ORT began implementing this project in late 2004 in collaboration with Keren Keyemet LeIsrael (KKL), an environmental nongovernmental organization founded in the early 20th century, whose offices in Uruguay have been in operation since December 15, 1958.
