On Wednesday, November 13, five 25-year-old graduates shared their career stories in five minutes, and one of them interviewed the first woman to earn a degree in Communication, who began her studies exactly 25 years ago.
From audiovisual production, digital content, corporate communications, journalism, and advertising and marketing, each person has had different experiences: initial doubts, choosing a career path, jobs at media companies, projects undertaken, study abroad programs, and dreams yet to be fulfilled.

Business Communication
Corporate communications involves a lot of teamwork and collaborating with leaders from other departments. We play a big role in communications: we’re always there to present the best possible image so that people keep choosing you day after day.

Audiovisual
I absolutely loved this major; I think it really gives you a certain framework, a way of looking at life—it’s a field you never really leave behind. A notary public comes home and leaves their profession at the door; someone who studied film or communications comes home, sees an advertisement, and analyzes it—even if only subconsciously—and then watches a movie and sees it from a different perspective.

Editor-in-Chief of Galería magazine.
Bluth was interviewed by Martín Tocar, a journalist for the newspaper El Observador.
Journalism
In journalism, I found the path I loved most, the work I loved most. I fell in love with telling stories, with seeking out those stories, with telling them, with writing them, and with being able to share other things that sometimes didn’t appear in the newspaper headlines. It’s a very hands-on career, one that’s lived on the go. There’s theory involved—you have to read, you have to study—but every story you write is different from the one before.

Advertising and Marketing
That's the great thing about advertising: you never really get bored of it, and it's like a fountain of eternal youth, because you're always discovering new things and you're always eager to keep going and let yourself be shaped by the world of communication.

Digital content
We’ve always been interested in creating content and doing things that fulfill us in a different way. In addition to teaching me a great deal, my degree program gave me a group of people I still work with today.
