On October 18, 2017, the live TV program *Yo Hago Comunicación* was broadcast from the School of Communication and Design at Universidad ORT Uruguay. The show was hosted by Diego Muñoz, who discussed experiences, challenges, and the paths that led these young talents to pursue careers in communication.
During the program, the young people discussed why they chose their field of study, what their academic and professional experiences were like, and what challenges lie ahead for them.

Diego García
Speakers
Diego Garcia
He holds a certificate in Public Relations and Event Planning from Universidad ORT Uruguay a certificate in Cultural Management from the ITAU Foundation. He is currently a senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communication at Universidad ORT Uruguay. Since 2005, he has worked at private-sector companies, both domestic and multinational. Since 2010, he has worked in the Communications Department of the Auditorio Nacional del Sodre, managing and coordinating the communications campaigns for the various artistic ensembles that perform there. He specializes in media relations and press management for the institution.
Nicolás Kronfeld
An advanced student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism at Universidad ORT Uruguay. He began his professional career at the El Espectador website. He has worked for El País, El Observador, and Revista Seisgrados. Over the past three years, he has worked from various countries for the Spanish newspaper El Confidencial, the radio program Justicia Infinita (Océano FM), and No toquen nada (Del Sol FM). He is currently a member of the No toquen nada journalism team.
Diego Parodi
He holds a degree in Communication Sciences and a Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Communication. He also holds a diploma in Dramatic Structure from the International School of San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba. He worked as a production manager and location manager at various local production companies, working on commercials, feature films, short films, and music videos. Since 2009, he has directed Efecto Cine, the first professional traveling film exhibition platform. He is responsible for the technical production of dozens of film festivals across the country. He founded and developed—in partnership with the Ministry of Social Development—Efecto Butaca, a social inclusion project for waste sorters, in which they use waste materials to produce movie theater seats. In 2013, he founded Efecto Pedal, a system that enables the hosting of cultural events using energy generated by the spectators’ own pedaling.
Ignacio Rossi
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Advertising Communication from Universidad ORT Uruguay. He has a master’s degree in Marketing from the Graduate Center of the School of Economics and Business Administration (University of the Republic). has courses and has diplomas in the field of management. He worked at Pronto! for 12 years, holding various positions. He currently serves as commercial director at Anda. Since March 2017, he has served as president of the Uruguayan Chamber of Advertisers.
Andrea Tosquellas
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Universidad ORT Uruguay. She has been working at Tv Ciudad for 15 years, having joined the station as an intern through the university. She held various positions before reaching her current role: Press Department Coordinator. She has been part of the following television programs: Informe Capital (a two-hour news program), Montevideo al Día, and Ciudad Más (news programs). She is currently in her second year of a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of the Republic.
