ORT teams won the Intercollegiate Tournament trophy

The futsal, handball, basketball, and volleyball teams were crowned champions of the 2007 Intercollegiate Tournament organized by the University Sports Organizing Committee (CODU). This year, the tournament awarded the "100 Years of the Naval Academy" trophy, which was won by ORT University after claiming the championship in four of the five disciplines contested. The Naval Academy won the swimming cup.

This tournament, which began in May, featured the participation of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of the Republic, the Catholic University, the University of Montevideo, ORT University, the ACJ University Institute, the Military Academy, and the Naval Academy.

The Interuniversity Tournament was created in 2000 by CODU, composed of one representative from each of the private universities, two from the University of the Republic, and one from the Ministry of Sports and Youth.
