Teams from Universidad ORT Uruguay the handball and hockey championships

On November 26, 2011, the handball team won the Clausura Tournament of the University Sports League, also claiming the Annual Tournament title. Meanwhile, on November 27, the field hockey team won the Copa del Plata in the University Field Hockey Tournament.

It is worth noting that the handball team includes the tournament's leading scorer, Carolina Rial, and the goalkeeper with the fewest goals against, Lorena Morán.
