The futsal team won the Astral Protex Beach Soccer Cup

For the third consecutive year, the Universidad ORT Uruguay of Universidad ORT Uruguay futsal team Universidad ORT Uruguay the Astral Protex Cup, a beach soccer tournament organized by the University Sports League that took place from March 2 to 13, 2015, at the Arenas del Plata Stadium on Pocitos Beach. Meanwhile, student Pablo Recarte was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.

The roster included Francisco Bouza, Germán Fernández, Gonzalo Ferreiro, Guzmán Furtado, Emiliano Hidalgo, Nicolás Mañay, Ignacio Morella, Jorge Puentes, Pablo Recarte, and Mauricio Repetto, under the coaching of Martín Sánchez.

Teams participating in the tournament included Cuba, Juventud, Perry Sexta, SEUR, Wanderers, and Universidad ORT Uruguay.
