Opening of the La Casa Uruguaya exhibition La Casa Uruguaya the LATU Science Space

On Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., the opening of the La Casa Uruguaya exhibition will take place La Casa Uruguaya Science Space of the Technological Laboratory of Uruguay (LATU). This is a sustainable architecture project promoted by the university, which won the international Solar Decathlon Latin America & Caribbean competition in December 2015. The event will be attended by the mayor of Montevideo, Daniel Martínez, and the president of LATU, Fernando Fontán. La Casa Uruguaya on public display for three years.

The activity is part of a cooperation agreement between the university and LATU aimed at promoting the use of renewable energy, energy efficiency, innovation, and sustainability.

La Casa Uruguaya the educational programs of Espacio Ciencia, thereby continuing its mission to promote the benefits of sustainable architecture, the use of solar energy in homes, energy efficiency practices, and the innovation incorporated into the social housing prototype—concepts that led to its victory in the Solar Decathlon.
