Scholarship Benefits
The program is funded by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and covers:
- Waiver of tuition, course materials, and research expenses.
- Free on-campus housing.
- Living allowance: 36,000 RMB (Chinese currency) per year (paid monthly).
- Installation subsidy: One-time payment of 3,000 RMB.
- Comprehensive health insurance.
- Airfare: Round-trip international flights (the 2-year program includes an additional ticket for a visit home).
Admission Requirements
- Be a citizen of a developing country, under 45 years of age, and in good health. Priority will be given to women in the admission process.
- Hold a bachelor's degree and have at least 3 years of work experience.
- Be a mid-level or senior-level government official, a manager at an institution or company, or a member of the academic staff.
- Advanced level of English (IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 80, or equivalent).
- You must have a regular passport (diplomatic or official passports are not accepted for the residence permit).
Application Process in Uruguay
The documents must be emailed to becas@auci.gub.uy as individual, numbered files.
Deadline: May 12, 2026, by 4:00 p.m.
Required AUCI documents: Scholarship application form, a letter of endorsement from the sponsoring institution addressed to Martín Clavijo, a signed copy of Decree 234/86, and a photocopy of your ID card.
Note: Prior approval from AUCI is required before submitting the final documentation to the university.
