The startup PedidosYa! has completed a funding round and was selected by the Endeavor network to receive support

Pedidos Ya!, a startup founded by Álvaro García, a graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Systems; Ariel Burschtin, a graduate with a degree in Systems Engineering; and Ruben Sosenke, a graduate with a degree in Information Technology Analysis, has closed a new round of funding led by Kaszek Ventures, the leading Latin American venture capital firm that invests in high-impact entrepreneurs in the technology sector. It was also one of two Uruguayan companies selected in early December by the Endeavor International Entrepreneur Selection Panel (formerly the Endeavor Promises Program) to help boost its success. PedidosYa! is an online service that allows users to quickly find restaurants offering home delivery and place orders via the Internet. It currently operates in five countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Puerto Rico, and Uruguay, and partners with more than 1,300 restaurants, including brands such as Benihana, Burger King, California Burritos, Denny’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Romario, and others.

The Endeavor network is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting an entrepreneurial culture and the creation of high-quality new businesses. It operates in eleven countries, where it provides strategic support to 603 “high-impact” entrepreneurs.

International entrepreneurs and investors conducted the evaluation of 29 candidates from 18 applicant companies across Endeavor’s offices in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, South Africa, and Uruguay. The panel selected 24 entrepreneurs from 14 companies in the region. In Uruguay, the startups PedidosYa and Todotvmedia were selected.
