Specialization Diploma in Design, Calculation, and Construction of Wood Structures

January 25, 2017
In April 2017, the Specialization Diploma in the Design, Analysis, and Construction of Wood Structures will begin, aimed at graduates of architecture, civil engineering, and other engineering disciplines. The graduate program is jointly offered by the School of Architecture and the School of Engineering at the University of the Republic (Udelar).

This diploma aims to train university professionals to be competent in the design, calculation, and construction of wood structures in order to ensure their quality.

It emphasizes the role that architects and civil engineers, as designers and construction managers, play in defining and making decisions for the successful completion of a wood construction project.

The curriculum is structured into eight courses, seven of which are theoretical-practical in nature, and the eighth is a final-year project. The duration of the graduate program is one year.

The faculty is composed of professors from both schools.
