*Annals of Architectural Research* was included in the Scimago Journal Ranking

On Friday, April 12, 2024, Scimago published its “Scimago Journal Ranking (SJR)” for the year 2023. The academic journal of the Faculty of Architecture at Universidad ORT Uruguay, *Anales de Investigación en Arquitectura*, was included for the first time and ranked in the fourth quartile (Q4).

These indices rank journals based on their impact factor within their respective subject categories. In this regard,*Anales de Investigación en Arquitectura* was classified in three areas: “architecture,” “urban studies and geography,” and “planning and development.” 

With this latest achievement, the journal has secured a spot among the 13 SJR-ranked publications in Latin America in the field of architecture, and is also one of the four Uruguayan journals on this list.

Annals of Architectural Research is a peer-reviewed, open-access Ibero-American scientific journal whose purpose is to disseminate research advances in the fields of architecture, urban planning, landscape architecture, and sustainability. In line with its international scope, it publishes research articles, essays, literature reviews, catalogs of works, and original case studies. It is open to architecture schools and the community of researchers, professionals, academics, and the interested public. It accepts contributions written in Spanish, English, and Portuguese.

The journal is peer-reviewed (double-blind) and edited by an expert editorial team, with the support of an International Scientific Committee. *Anales de Investigación en Arquitectura* is a continuously published journal that appears twice a year. Manuscripts that are approved by the peer review process and the Editorial Board are published upon completion of the editorial process. The journal does not charge fees for the processing and publication of articles. It is a publication sponsored by the School of Architecture at Universidad ORT Uruguay.
