Antonio Oliva—a graduate of the Master’s program in Communication and Marketing Management—noted that today, due to the exponential growth of communications, we are facing a state of entropy that calls for effective improvement.

“The master’s program opened our eyes to new perspectives. It equipped us with the techniques and methods to design and think with a global vision, enabling us to be active citizens in today’s world, engaging in innovative and disruptive ways—not merely as spectators.”

“The master’s program is not just about accumulating knowledge on a subject; it also allows us to understand our individual and collective capabilities.”

Flavia Gatti—a graduate of the Specialization Diploma in Real Estate Business—shared her experience of taking the online graduate program due to the pandemic.

“Zoom didn’t stop us from supporting one another or from receiving support from our teachers. Nor did it prevent different generations from coming together and learning to work together.”

“Thank you to Universidad ORT Uruguay having the courage to adapt to the new normal, and to the faculty for their professionalism and compassion, as well as for continuing to share their passion for teaching. I don’t want to conclude without thanking our families for their unwavering support. These are achievements we share.”

Federico Young—a graduate of the Master’s program in Big Data—noted that it is difficult to prepare for a career in an uncertain world. “The only thing we know about the future of work is that we don’t know what it will look like, and we have to be ready.”

“Preparing for professional growth takes effort, and effort requires dedicating time. But the important thing is to look beyond the short term and understand the path you need to follow to achieve your goal.”

He explained that, although the university is a privately run institution, it has a public mission: “To expand opportunities for our students and for society through education and knowledge.”

The vice-chancellor noted that the world is changing rapidly as a result of technological advances and current circumstances. “These changes bring uncertainty, but they also allow us to build capabilities and open up new opportunities.”

Finally, he spoke about the role graduates should play in the world of the future. “I ask that, through your actions and decisions, you help foster mutual trust and team spirit, which are the foundation of any organization and society.”

“Make sure to stay up to date, be thorough in your approach, use your creativity to develop alternatives, keep an open mind, take risks to innovate, don’t be discouraged by failures, take responsibility with candor and humility, give your best effort, apply your knowledge with passion, enthusiasm, and dignity,” he said, concluding: “Go wherever life takes you, and don’t forget that ORT will always be your home.”
