April in the running for the Quirino Award

A short film by animation students has been nominated for the Quirino Award, which will be presented in May in Tenerife, Spain.

"Abril," the short film directed by Sofía Caponnetto and Eliana Fernández, senior students in the Bachelor's Degree in Animation and Video Games program, along with professor María Podestá, has been nominated for the Quirino Award for Best Ibero-American Animation School Short Film at the Quirino Awards for Ibero-American Animation, which will take place May 12–14, 2022, in La Laguna, Tenerife (Spain).

A total of 258 works from 18 countries were submitted for this award: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
