Lecture: “The Two Historical Schools of Thought on the Holocaust”

TheDepartment of Jewish Studiesat Universidad ORT Uruguay the lecture “The Two Historical Schools of Thought on the Shoah,” as part of the course “Shoah: The Human Condition and Memory.” The lecture will be given by Gustavo Perednik, a visiting professor at the university, on July 3, 2019, at 5:30 p.m. at the university’s Downtown Campus (Cuareim 1451).

The speaker is a graduate of the University of Buenos Aires and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (cum laude), and completed his Ph.D. in Philosophy in New York. He studied the humanities at the Sorbonne (France), San Marcos (Peru), and Uppsala (Sweden). He was recognized as an outstanding professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is the author of numerous books and articles. He is a member of the International Advisory Committee of the Sino-Jewish Institute (United States). He founded the Ai Tian Enlightenment Program in China. He is also a visiting professor at Universidad ORT Uruguay.
