The delegation consisted of 67 athletes from the women's and men's volleyball, women's and men's soccer, and basketball teams.
Over the course of three days of competition, representatives from Universidad ORT Uruguay in the latest edition of the Taylor Cup, a university sports event that brings together institutions from across the region.
The women's and men's soccer teams, as well as the women's volleyball team, competed in the group stage, while the men's volleyball team advanced to the quarterfinals, where they lost 2-0 to the University of the Republic (Udelar).
The basketball team stood out by securing another victory, thereby winning the Taylor Cup for the second consecutive year (2024 and 2025).
The team won all of its games and defeated the home team, Universidad de San Andrés (UdeSA), in the final with a score of 56–26.
The final was held on Sunday, November 9, at 3:00 p.m., capping off an outstanding team performance and reaffirming the commitment of the student-athletes at Universidad ORT Uruguay hard work, dedication, and teamwork.
