Elisa Marizcurrena, Architect; Gustavo Moreyra, Engineer; Camila Pérez Basso, Architect; and Daniel Segovia, Bachelor of Arts, students in the Master of Business Administration at the School of Management and Social Sciences, accompanied by the program’s academic coordinator, Dr. Luis Silva Domingo, participated in the John Molson MBA International Case Competition in Montreal, Canada, from January 1 to 6, 2018.

This initiative was carried out with the support of the Zonamerica Innovation Fund, established by the Graduate School of the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences in partnership with Zonamerica to strengthen Uruguay’s innovative and entrepreneurial international outlook.

In four hours, the students had to analyze and evaluate unpublished business cases, develop a feasible solution for each case based on their skills, knowledge, and experience, and then present an action plan demonstrating their ability to delve into a complex business situation before a panel of judges comprising more than 300 executives.

The John Molson MBA International Case Competitionis open to the world's leading business schools and is recognized as the largest case competition of its kind. Its primary goal is to bridge the gap between the corporate and academic worlds, enriching both students and executives.

Since 1982, a team of MBA candidates from Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business has been responsible for organizing it every year.
