A former Mossad agent presented the Israeli Netflix film *Operation Brothers* on ORT

Col. Dani Limor, the commander-in-chief in charge of the operation, presented the film—based on true events—about the rescue of thousands of Ethiopian Jews.

The Israeli Embassy in Uruguay, the Jewish Community of Uruguay, and the Department of Jewish Studies at Universidad ORT Uruguay the conference “Operation Brothers” on the Netflix film of the same name, which tells the story of the rescue of thousands of Ethiopian Jews and their journey to Israel following a difficult and dangerous trek through the desert.

The event was led by Uruguayan-Israeli Colonel Dani Limor, a former Mossad agent, who recounted his experiences as commander-in-chief of the rescue operation. The event took place on November 18, 2019, at our university’s Pocitos campus.

The event was attended by the president of Universidad ORT Uruguay, Prof. Charlotte de Grünberg; the Ambassador of the State of Israel to Uruguay, Yoed Magen; the Israeli Consul, Sapir Efron; and Jeannette Dreifus, representing the Israeli Community of Uruguay, as well as students from our university’s Bachelor’s program in International Studies, ambassadors, and members of the general public.
