The 22nd Punta del Este International Film Festival selected *En el pozo* for its 2019 lineup. Last year, it had already participated in the 20th Filmar Festival in Latin America, held in Switzerland.
*In the Well*, by Rafael and Bernardo Antonaccio, is a dramatic thriller that blends genre cinema with socially conscious filmmaking, according to the production company. “The event that sets off the tension is a sense of possession and objectification of Alicia, which is in turn intensified by a ‘rivalry’ between those from the capital and those from the countryside.”
