This contest wasopen to high school students inMontevideo’s Jewish school system and toyoung people in Jewish youth movements, with the goal of creating the Keren Hayesod Hebrew calendar for the year 5765.
Speaking on behalf of the jury were Myriam Broder, Secretary of Planning at Universidad ORT Uruguay, who discussed the works in the Creative Writing category, and visual artist Jaime Kleist, who explained the jury’s decision in the Design category.
Thefirst-prize winners were:
- Karen Goldman: Design, grades 7–9, and youth movements;
- Eliane Kremer: Creative Writing, grades 7–9;
- Vanette Kosman: Design, grades 7–9;
- Elian Stolarsky: Creative Writing, grades 7–9.
