La Casa Uruguaya received a special recognition from the Ministry of Industry, Energy, and Mining (MIEM) as part of the 10th anniversary of the National Energy Efficiency Award on December 11, 2018, at Antel Arena.
At the ceremony, in addition to honoring the winners of the 2018 edition, MIEM gave special recognition to ten projects selected from among all those that have received the award over the decade since the National Energy Efficiency Award was established.
The project, supported by ORT, won the award in 2016 in the category of Buildings, Single-Family and Multi-Family Housing, and has now received this special recognition for its significant contribution to the field.
Representing the School of Architecture at the awards ceremony were its academic secretary, Architect Graziella Blengio, and the professor of Bioclimatic Architecture for Energy Efficiency, Architect Eliseo Cabrera.
