MBA students from the University of Chile held a seminar on digital business at ORT

From Wednesday, September 28, to Monday, October 3, the Graduate School of Business at Universidad ORT Uruguay a group of 11 MBA students from the University of Chile.

The students were accompanied by Dr. Félix Lizama, an assistant professor in the School of Economics and Business at that institution.

They took the Digital Business seminar at the School of Management and Social Sciences as part of their university’s MBA International Study Seminar, which includes activities in various countries.

In 2022, students had the option of taking the High-Impact Leadership seminar at Icesi University (Cali, Colombia); the Digital Marketing/Design Thinking seminar at Esade Business School (Barcelona, Spain); the Silicon Valley Immersion Program “Fostering Links Between the University of Chile and Silicon Valley” (San Francisco, United States); or the Digital Business seminar at Universidad ORT Uruguay.

At ORT, visitors attended the following lectures: “Welcome and Uruguay’s Political and Economic Environment,” by Javier Maseiro, MBA, academic coordinator of ORT’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program; “Uruguay’s Entrepreneurial Ecosystem,” by Enrique Topolansky, MBA, coordinator of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE); and “Fundamentals of Technology Business,” by Marcel Mordezki, MBA, professor of Technology Management and Innovation.

They also made the following visits: the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (a presentation by the company Vopero), Nowports and a happy hour at Sinergia Golf, the Zonamerica campus (Zonamerica, Aiva Sabre), the Technological Laboratory of Uruguay (Evertec, Genexus, and DVelop), and Prometeo, an open banking startup.
