Nov. 7, 2011For the second consecutive year, Martín Abud, Graphic Designer Gabriel Pasarisa, and Martín Sommaruga, faculty members of the School of Communication and Design, served on the jury for the Best News Website category at the "2011 OPI Awards." The awards were presented by the Organización de la Prensa del Interior on November 12, 2011, in the city of Trinidad, as part of the 54th Annual General Meeting and the 18th Extraordinary Meeting of the Organización de la Prensa del Interior.

Nov. 1, 2011Rosario Bianchi, a graduate of the Bachelor of Fashion Design program, was one of the 15 finalists in the international "Dress Me For The Finale" contest organized to celebrate the 30-year partnership between "Hugo Boss" and the McLaren Formula 1 team. The contestants designed a unique set of overalls for drivers Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team. The design presented by Ms. Bianchi was worn by the drivers during qualifying for the penultimate round of the 2011 Formula 1 World Championship, which took place on November 13 at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
