    In November 2014, Araner Films released the short film “Chocobingo,” directed by Pablo Ferré, a professor of Film Analysis, Audiovisual Language, and Cinematic Language in the School of Communication and Design. It was produced by Lucía Moreira, a producer at Araner Films and a graduate of the Bachelor’s program in Audiovisual Communication.

    In November 2014, the publishing house Biblos (Buenos Aires) published the book *Plebe versus ciudadanía*, edited by Javier Bonilla Saus, Ph.D., professor of Political and Social Sciences and academic coordinator of International Studies, and Pablo Isern, Ph.D., professor of Contemporary Latin American History in the Bachelor’s Program in International Studies.

    In November 2014, the Latin American Association of Communication Researchers (ALAIC) and the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru published the paper "Collaborative Group Intelligence in the Case of a PC Peripheral Failure" Prof. Agustín Courtoisie, professor of Journalistic Product Analysis and Ethics and Freedom of Expression at the School of Communication and Design, delivered this presentation at the “12th Latin American Congress of Communication Researchers.” The event took place from August 6 to 8, 2014, in Lima.

    On November 27, 2014, the university signed a Specific Collaboration Agreement with the Piso 40 Executive Club of Montevideo, which aims to contribute to the development of successful startups by providing access to financial resources for entrepreneurs emerging from the ecosystem of the CIE (Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship) and the School of Business and Social Sciences.

    On November 19, 2014, the conference “Position Your Startup for International Competitions” was held at ORT Centro. It was a gathering of the Entrepreneurs’ Network, during which speakers shared their experiences and offered suggestions to help entrepreneurs submit their projects to international competitions. The event was organized by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE).

    Architect Gastón Boero, dean of the School of Architecture, participated in the Deans’ Conference organized by the Ibero-American Society for Digital Graphics (Sigradi), which took place as part of the 18th Sigradi Congress “Design in Freedom,” held from November 12 to 14, 2014, at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of the Republic. Architect Boero delivered a lecture titled “How Digital Techniques Are Taught in the Programs of the Faculty of Architecture.”
