    On December 18, the Palermo Art Hostel hosted the professional presentations of three graduates from the Bachelor’s programs in Industrial Design and Fashion Design. During the event, Rosario Bianchi, Gabriela Lebel, and Jimena Panzera shared their personal vision of design through a public exhibition and presentation.

    In December, the faculties held ceremonies to present the Awards for Teaching Excellence. At each ceremony, the dean of the faculty reviewed the year’s achievements and introduced the award-winning faculty members.

    On December 22, the "Puesta en escena 5" fashion show, organized by the Academic Coordination of Fashion Design, took place in the Zavala Muniz Hall at the Solís Theater. During the event, 40 models walked the runway to showcase the spring-summer clothing collections created by sixth-semester students in the Bachelor of Fashion Design program.

    On December 16, the Faculty of Communication and Design’s Theater Workshop held a performance at the El Galpón Theater. The students presented a dramatization of stories by Roberto Fontanarrosa, adapted by R. Chervieri and J. Bolani. The course instructor is Prof. Tabaré Rivero, and the teaching assistant is Martín Vargues. The excerpts presented were “Vidas privadas,” “Mesa de tres patas,” and “Sueño de barrio.”

    On December 4, the Faculty of Architecture hosted a lecture titled "The Universe Within a House: Le Corbusier Between the Classical Tradition of Volume and Independent Plans," presented by architect Álvaro Arrese, an evaluator for CONEAU (National Commission for University Evaluation and Accreditation) in Argentina.

    On December 10, the lecture "Human Capital Management and New Technologies" was held in the auditorium of the School of Administration and Social Sciences. The speaker was Hermes Ruiz Rincón, Director General of the international consulting firm JP VAL, based in Spain.

    On December 2, the Auditorium of the School of Communication and Design hosted the book launch for "Pasajes" by Prof. Pablo Ferré, a faculty member, journalist, and film critic. Writer Roberto Appratto spoke at the event. "Pasajes" is a collection of Ferré's newspaper articles published in Brecha between 1998 and 2003.

    On December 1, the "Rock & Pop 6" Festival took place at the El Galpón Theater. The 2007 class of the Sound Design Technician program was in charge of the bands’ amplification and sound. The bands that participated in the festival were: Yogurt, MacGyvers, Infierno 99, Sordo Gutiérrez, Rey Chala, and Don Quicuyo.

    On December 1, the lecture "Representation of Domestic Space in Film" was held in the ORT Pocitos Auditorium, presented by Architect Carmen Aroztegui, a professor in the School of Architecture. Focusing on the difficulties of representing subjectivity in architecture, the speaker proposed analyzing how cinematic representation expresses the experience of domestic space in two scenes from the films "Pride and Prejudice" and "Whisky."

    The Observa website and ORT University are organizing the "Contate algo" University Blogging Contest, a communication challenge aimed at students enrolled in ORT’s university and technical programs. Students had until December 13 to submit their blog proposals. The six blogs selected by the jury will be open to public voting from February 10 to March 8. The winner will receive a laptop and the opportunity to publish their blog on Observa for three months.

    On December 4, the lecture "How to Identify Strategies for Maximizing Profitability in the Real Estate Sector," presented by Alfredo Kaplan and Fernando Foti, took place in the Auditorium of the School of Business and Social Sciences. The event was organized by the school’s Graduate Studies Department.
