Representatives from Uruguay’s higher education sector in the fields of engineering, technology, and business participated. This IEEE Chapter was established in December 2016 with the support of the School of Engineering at Universidad ORT Uruguay, among other institutions and stakeholders in the sector.

The event was organized by senior students in the Bachelor’s programs in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design, and Multimedia Design. Since 2007, 424 companies and 613 students have participated in Recreación.
