    On February 23 and 24, 2017, the kick-off meeting for the Riesal Project (Regional Network for the Promotion of the Internationalization of Higher Education in Latin America) took place in Bogotá, Colombia. This institutional strengthening project Universidad ORT Uruguay as a full partner.

    On February 16, 2017, the Catholic University of Uruguay hosted the launch of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Education Society Uruguay Chapter, the first in-person meeting of its members. Representatives from Uruguay’s higher education sector in the fields of engineering, technology, and business participated. This IEEE Chapter was established in December 2016 with the support of the School of Engineering at Universidad ORT Uruguay, among other institutions and stakeholders in the sector.

    On February 21, 22, and 23, 2017, the School of Design hosted the closing ceremony for the tenth edition of the Integrative Project – Recreación 17: Real-World Design Experiences in Uruguay | 58 companies | 67 projects | 67 experiences. The event was organized by senior students in the Bachelor’s programs in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design, and Multimedia Design. Since 2007, 424 companies and 613 students have participated in Recreación.

This peer-reviewed conference took place from September 21 to 23, 2016, in Belfast, Ireland.

The purpose of this annual conference is to analyze current developments and ideas regarding changes in international and regional tax matters. The event was organized by the Department of Accounting and Taxation of the School of Business and Social Sciences.
