This initiative arose from a strategic partnership between the company La Buena Estrella, the Department of Biotechnology at Universidad ORT Uruguay the Biotechnology Center for Research and Innovation (CBI+I), with support from the National Agency for Research and Innovation.

The book *The Girl Who Watched the Trains Leave*, by Ruperto Long, recounts part of the childhood of the president of Universidad ORT Uruguay, Prof. Charlotte de Grünberg.

"Young people who choose the science track have a much better chance of securing higher-paying jobs. However, only 12% of public high school students choose the science track, compared to 30% of private high school students," said Dr. Jorge Grünberg, rector Universidad ORT Uruguay.

In Ciudad Vieja, students in ORT’s Bachelor of Communication program with a focus on Audiovisual Studies are organizing a cultural event to promote their work.

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program achieved its highest-ever ranking in the América Economía rankings. For more than 25 years, it has been the only program in the country to appear in this ranking. In the "Average Graduate Income" category, it ranks 11th; in "Network Influence," 10th; and in "Business Experience of Part-Time Faculty," 12th.

Juan Ignacio Soldo and Mateo Bertolotti are biotechnology engineering students at ORT, and their startup, Fermtech, is being incubated at the university’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

ORT’s Master’s in Financial Management program has signed a dual-degree agreement with ID’s Master’s in Financial Management program in Paraguay. ID students will be able to earn degrees from both institutions in two years. The program will be conducted in simultaneous classes in both countries, with faculty from ORT and ID teaching the courses together.
