  Fernando López, who earned a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from Universidad ORT Uruguay in 2001, was selected to do an internship at one of the largest oil and energy companies in the United States just before he was set to begin his thesis. Although he did not speak English, his enthusiasm and academic record were more than enough to launch his professional career.

  Leonardo Martín, a professor in the School of Communication and Design and the School of Management and Social Sciences at Universidad ORT Uruguay, gave a lecture on Batllism at Florida International University on February 6, 2018.
• Graduation film to be screened in Miami
  Feb. 15, 2018
  The short film *Ir* will be screened at the Miami International Film Festival on March 13, 2018. We interviewed its director, Ilan Rosenfeld, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication with a focus on Audiovisual Studies from Universidad ORT Uruguay. He is currently working on the documentary *(Otros) caminos* and developing the feature film *Abrazar a Nelfa*.
