    Cecilia Custodio Ruibal, who holds a degree in Journalism, recently published "The Tabaré -Vázquez and the Construction of Power," a study on the operating mechanisms of the first president of the Frente Amplio (re-elected in November for a second term), a figure who, according to the author, "has no strong ideological base nor particular support from any faction within the FA" but "was the one who managed to bring the left to power in the capital and then at the national level."

    According to video game developer Rami Ismail, founder of the Vlambeer studio, "a lot is happening in the video game industry in Uruguay, and Uruguayan developers are beginning to realize the level of professionalism expected of them." Ismail visited the School of Design to participate in several workshops and give a talk to present his press kit for video game developers.

    "Herencia Blanes is a traffic accident, a collision at the intersection of Millán and Castro at 20 miles per hour, a spear piercing the left side, several men in hats who lift the pierced body and carry it to the pharmacy," explains Fernando Foglino, clarifying that "the dead man is Blanes’ son: Juan Luis," who had been commissioned to create the first three-dimensional sculpture of Artigas. In the end, it was his father, Juan Manuel, who created the sculpture. Now, more than 100 years later, Foglino, who holds a degree in Industrial Design, has made three-dimensional scans of Blanes’ work available to the public.
