Oct. 31, 2014On October 16, 20, and 21, 2014, focus groups were held at the Institute of Education with students participating in the "Camino TICs" program, as part of the ACCEDES project. The Uruguayan team leading these groups consists of Dr. María Inés Vázquez, Academic Coordinator of Educational Management at the institute (national coordinator of ACCEDES); Andrea Tejera, M.A., professor and tutor in Educational Management; Carolina Guedes, B.A., Student Advisor at the School of Architecture; and Álvaro Casas, a graduate of the Diploma in Educational Planning and Management.

Oct. 30, 2014On October 1, 2014, the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences hosted the lecture “Democracy and Inter-American Law: Standards and Cases,” presented by Dr. Jean Michel Arrighi, Secretary for Legal Affairs of the OAS (Organization of American States). The speaker analyzed the norms issued within the framework of the OAS from 1985 to the present, as well as those issued by other regional and subregional bodies when a breakdown of the constitutional order occurs. The event was organized by the faculty’s Department of International Studies.
