The jury, which selected 30 of the 50 proposals submitted, was composed of Architect Silvia González (Municipal Government of Montevideo), Architect José Alfredo Fontes (Faculty of Architecture, University of the Republic), and Mr. Alejandro Albertti (National Museum of Visual Arts).

Sept. 30, 2008On Tuesday, September 23, the lecture "Tax System in the Agricultural Sector (Income and Wealth)" was held in the Auditorium of the School of Business and Social Sciences. It was presented by accountants Nicolás Juan, Federico Camy, and Pablo Segalerba, who are tax specialists. They discussed the tax regime applicable to the agricultural sector in light of this first fiscal year-end under the new regulatory framework resulting from the Tax Reform.

Sept. 30, 2008From September 22 to 26, the School of Architecture exhibited models created by students in Project 8 of the Architecture program on the theme of "Functional, Morphological, and Landscape Redevelopment." The projects stem from a competition-style exercise proposing functional, morphological, and landscape redevelopment for a section of the boardwalk at the Atlántida beach resort.

The presentation was led by journalist Jorge Traverso.
