Sept. 30, 2015Three papers written by faculty members from the School of Architecture were presented at the 13th Latin American Congress on Construction Pathology (Conpat 2015), which took place from September 8 to 10, 2015, in Lisbon. This peer-reviewed conference was organized by the Latin American Association for Quality Control, Pathology, and Restoration in Construction.

Sept. 30, 2015Since September 2015, the university has been participating in the Partnership Hub of the Latin American Food Design Network through the School of Communication and Design. It is a nonprofit organization whose objectives are to establish a leading hub for food design in Latin America, raise the profile of Latin American initiatives, integrate this emerging discipline into the diverse knowledge bases on food and design in the region and around the world, and contribute to training in food design.

Sept. 30, 2015Three articles, co-authored by faculty members from the School of Engineering, were published in the conference proceedings *Memoria Comtel 2015* of the 7th International Congress on Computing and Telecommunications, published by the Publishing House of the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega University (UIGV). This peer-reviewed conference, organized by the UIGV’s School of Systems, Computing, and Telecommunications Engineering, took place from September 23 to 26, 2015, in Lima.

Sept. 28, 2015As part of the 75th anniversary of the Central Jewish Committee of Uruguay and the 100th anniversary of the Kehilá (the Jewish community of Uruguay), the Post Office, the Central Jewish Committee of Uruguay, and Universidad ORT Uruguay a graphic design contest for two commemorative postage stamps. The stamps were unveiled on September 7, 2015, at the headquarters of the Latin American Jewish Congress, during the celebration of the Jewish New Year 5776.
