Feb. 17, 2010From February 23 to 25, the ORT Centro Auditorium hosted the public presentations of the Integrative Project – Recreation10, an academic initiative developed by senior students in the Bachelor’s programs in Graphic, Industrial, and Fashion Design. During the event, the students demonstrated how the objectives of each project were achieved. The results were displayed in an exhibition that remained on view in the central hall until Tuesday, March 2.

Feb. 17, 2010Dr. Denise Vaillant, Professor of Educational Policy in the School of Administration and Social Sciences and Coordinator of the GTD-PREAL, co-authored the book “Teacher Professional Development. How Does One Learn to Teach?”, published by Narcea, Barcelona. On February 26, she presented the book in the Auditorium Hall at the University of Buenos Aires.

Feb. 15, 2010Musician and sound engineer Ricardo (Riki) Musso gave a lecture titled "Technology Applied to Music Production" on Wednesday, February 24, in the auditorium of the School of Communication and Design. The speaker presented practical examples of how various audio editing and processing technologies are used in the different stages of music production.

Feb. 2, 2010On Wednesday, February 24, the lecture "The Profession Starts from Within" was held in the Auditorium of the School of Communication and Design. The speaker was Felipe Stein, founder and co-director of Notable Publicidad, an agency that won the Grand Effie Award in 2009—the top prize in the competition recognizing advertising effectiveness. He is a faculty member at the School of Communication and Design.

Feb. 2, 2010Florentina Pérez Ferrando and Sebastián Pérez Traverso, students in the Digital Animation Technician program, were selected to participate in courses atthe California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) as part of a collaborative program between that institution and ORT University, has by the U.S. Embassy in Uruguay. Both students received a scholarship that covered travel, accommodation, and six weeks of courses, which took place from January 16 to February 28, 2010.

Feb. 2, 2010On February 25, the lecture "Public Relations 2.0: Companies Are Losing Their Monopoly on Communication" was held in the Auditorium of the School of Communication and Design. The lecture was presented by José Gordín, a lecturer in the Marketing Department of the School of Business and Social Sciences.
