May 19, 2011From Thursday, May 19, to Tuesday, May 31, the exhibition “Reflections, Transparencies, and Textures” will be on display at the School of Architecture (2633 España Blvd.). The exhibition was organized by Workshop 1 of the Bachelor’s Program in Interior Design, led by instructors Architect Antonio Del Castillo and Architect Jorge Migues. The exhibition is the result of a month of work by the workshop students, during which they explored the qualities of the three elements included in the exhibition’s title.

May 19, 2011The "luminarias nautiLUZ" project by Diego Weisz, a student in the Industrial Design program, was shortlisted by the jury as one of the 50 best entries in the 2011 edition of the Banco Santander Foundation and Universia design competition, the world’s largest sustainable design competition. Hundreds of entries from around the world were submitted.

That is the conclusion reached—in various languages—by the young participants at the Education Without Borders (EWB) conference, which took place from March 28 to 31 in the United Arab Emirates. Three students in the Bachelor’s program in International Studies had the opportunity to participate in this international event, which featured, among other things, a keynote address by former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
