May 30, 2014On May 19, 2014, the “Women in Technology & Business” program began, a joint academic and cultural initiative between Universidad ORT Uruguay the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) in the United States. Seventeen female students from UIUC are participating in this program, which runs through June 5. It is coordinated by the School of Engineering and the Office of Academic Development.

The results were released in May 2014. This year, the school ranked 34th.

May 30, 2014On May 16, 2014, “Scratch Day 2014” took place at the Plan Ceibal facilities, organized jointly by Universidad ORT Uruguay Plan Ceibal. Scratch is a programming language that allows users to create animations and games, and helps them become familiar with the basics of programming.
