Sept. 24, 2012Universidad ORT Uruguay CTC Maldonado organized the “2012 Lecture Series: 25 Years of the CEI: Janusz Korczak: Education and Human Rights” as part of the “1st Biennial of Arts Education – Maldonado 2012,” which took place from September 17 to 23, 2012, in Maldonado. The biennial was organized by the Maldonado Departmental Government and the Ministry of Education and Culture. The lectures took place at the CEI premises.

Sept. 22, 2012As part of the Joint Spanish Program between Harbin Normal University (HNU) and Universidad ORT Uruguay, 42 students from the People’s Republic of China will spend two semesters in Uruguay starting in September 2012. From the Chinese province of Heilongjiang, located in the northeast of the country on the border with Russia, the first cohort of students in HNU’s Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish will complete their third year of studies at Universidad ORT Uruguay. On September 3, the program’s first day, the opening ceremony took place in the Pocitos Campus auditorium with the participation of the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Qu Shengwu, who delivered a welcome speech to the students.
