They used this video to launch the production company, generating widespread attention.

The event was organized by the Department of International Studies in the School of Management and Social Sciences.

    Two of Kizanaro’s directors, Ignacio Oliveri and Krikor Attarian, both graduates of the Bachelor’s program in Systems Engineering, traveled with the Uruguayan national soccer team to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa to contribute their technological expertise to the development of the team’s game strategy. On Wednesday, July 21, they gave a lecture at the School of Engineering, where they shared their experiences.

    Two final projects from the School of Engineering were selected among the five Uruguayan finalists in the first round of evaluation for the 2010 Intel Challenge. As a result, they advanced to the second phase, in which one project will be chosen to compete against those from the rest of Latin America. This is the first year that Uruguayan entrepreneurs can participate in this competition, organized by Intel in partnership with Emprear, with support from ORT University and the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII).

    On July 1, the farewell party for the MBA Class of 2008 was held at Cabo Bar. The event was also attended by students currently enrolled in the MBA program (the Classes of 2009 and 2010), thereby strengthening the bonds within the MBA alumni community.

    From June 28 to July 8, the School of Architecture hosted an exhibition of student work resulting from the design seminar “Pasaje, la acción de pasar” (Passage: The Act of Passing), led by professors Gastón Boero, Daniel Fernández, and Fernando Castro. The seminar, which took place on May 27 and June 18, was part of Project 1 in the Architecture program.

    ORT University, the Rotary Club of Aguada, and the Uruguayan Chamber of Information Technology invite young people aged 16 to 21, whose household has a per capita income of less than $6,000, to apply for the "Camino TICs" Program, which aims to provide training in one of the fields with the highest employment rates: information and communication technology. The program offers full scholarships for technical programs in Web Programming, Object-Oriented Programming, Flash Application Design and Animation, and Personal Computer Maintenance.

"Entrepreneurs in Network" is a forum where entrepreneurs, companies, and support organizations come together to propose business ideas, build connections, and create a network of strategic contacts that make entrepreneurship possible.
