• Funding for Technology Projects: Information Session

  On Wednesday, February 26, 2014, the School of Engineering at Universidad ORT Uruguay an informational meeting during which Mario Fernández, dean of the School of Engineering, presented the Center for Engineering Innovation (CII) and announced a call for proposals for funding of technology projects.
• The startup LockIT won the National Franchise Award

  On February 25, 2014, LockIT, a startup supported by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE), received the National Franchise Award presented by the National Directorate of Handicrafts, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (Dinapyme) and the Uruguayan Chamber of Franchises (Caufran).
• Visiting Professor in the Master's Program in Technology Business Management

  Dr. Harry Yuklea, Research Associate Professor at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, taught the course “Economics of Innovation” from February 24 to 28, 2014, as part of the Master’s Program in Technology Business Management – ICT.

  Gastón Mousqués, Ph.D., Professor of Software Engineering at the School of Engineering, led a Design Thinking Train-the-Trainer workshop from February 18 to 23, 2014, at the Technological University of Honduras in San Pedro Sula.

  From February 7 to 14, 2014, the exhibition “Water/Earth/Air” by photographer Leonardo Barizzoni, a professor of photography in the School of Communication and Design, was held at the Espacio de Arte Innova in Punta del Este. The exhibition featured a collection of photographs of open and natural spaces, most of which were taken in 2013.
• A startup supported by the CIE was selected as one of the top 21 apps at the Mobile Premiere Awards

  The Paganza startup, supported by the CIE (Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship), was selected as one of the top 21 apps in the seventh edition of the Mobile Premiere Awards. These apps were chosen by an international jury from among the winners of the local editions of AppCircus, an award that Paganza won in November 2013.
