May 31, 2016The article “Uruguay” by Cecilia Arias, a graduate of the Specialization Diploma in Taxation and an associate at Guyer & Regules, and Javier Otegui, a partner at the firm, was presented at the 8th Latin American Regional Meeting of the International Fiscal Association (IFA). This peer-reviewed conference, organized by the IFA, took place from May 4 to 6, 2016, in Lima.

May 31, 2016More than 800 teachers and 1,400 students enrolled in the Advanced Scratch 2.0 online course, which was entirely designed and produced by Universidad ORT Uruguay the Ceibal Plan. It was developed using the CREA2 (Schoology) platform in a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) format, in which lessons are presented as short videos accompanied by supplementary materials, downloadable examples, assessments, and discussion forums. The course launched on May 20, 2016.
