Oct. 15, 2012“Community Heroes,” a program directed by Oscar Estévez, a graduate of the Audiovisual Production program, won the 2012 Rocky Mountain Emmy Award for “Outstanding Human Interest Documentary Program.” It is a documentary series featuring 12 stories with real-life protagonists from three countries. It is produced by Mediapolis and Brigham Young University International. The winners were announced at a ceremony held on October 6, 2012, at University of Phoenix Stadium (Arizona, United States).

Oct. 3, 2012On October 11, 2012, the MBA Annual Dinner was held at the Golf Club. The event was attended by MBA alumni, students, faculty members, and members of the graduate program’s board. During the event, awards were presented for the first time in our country in three categories: Distinguished Alumnus, Academic Excellence, and Best Business Plan. Rodolfo Gioscia, General Manager of Manos del Uruguay, was recognized for his career as the 2012 Outstanding MBA. The awards were presented by the Dean of the School of Management and Social Sciences, Dr. Gaston Labadie; the Academic Secretary, Jaime Damiani; and the MBA Academic Coordinator, Dr. Luis Silva.
